Three Canadians on the list!

Four first time novelists on the long list are Stephen Kelman, A.D. Miller, Yvette Edwards and Patrick McGuinness.

Three Canadian authors also made the list, Alison Pick, Patrick deWitt and Esi Edugyan.

The short list will be announced September 6th and the winner of the 2011 Man Booker Prize for Fiction on October 18th.
