URBAN – This week’s photo challenge is guest hosted by Terence S. Jones.
The idea behind urban photography is to photograph your city and the streets as they are, presenting a more direct, unaltered view of life. It is about documenting urban living space and how people adapt their environment to certain needs and vice versa. Share a photo that means URBAN to you!
Known in The Beaches neighbourhood of Toronto, Canada as the “painted ladies,” these town houses have a San Francisco-esque facade.
These single-door garages painted to match the townhouses are a stacked, two-car-feature employing the Klaus hydraulic lift for added storage space – how’s that for adapting to urban living space!

It reminds me of the suburb where Edward Scissorhands stayed before returning to the mansion on the hill.

I live in what a real estate agent might ambitiously call “Upper Beach” so am very familiar with these houses, but have never seen them from this angle. So pretty!

I like the colors of the town houses. That garage with the hydraulic lift would be something to see. Thanks for the ping 🙂

Although I’ve always admired the exotic colours and patterns, I only found out last evening about the Klaus lift and that they are referred to as the “Painted Ladies”
