Between St. George and Queen’s Park Subway Stations (Toronto)
Platform @ Royal Ontario Museum
I moved to the Greater Toronto Area 20 years ago and am still awed by the public transit system … so civilized, so efficient and so spectacularly interesting.
Did I mention I love to write? So many character profiles, short stories, journal entries and poems find there beginnings from riding the subway. This shot of Museum Station (Royal Ontario Museum) is ‘soft’ because I took it with my cell phone camera. The camera is pretty good, but I grabbed the shot from inside the train through the doors. The platform is one of my favourite stops, often getting off the train just for a closer look, to sit on a bench, take in the view and decompress.
Other interpretations of this week’s theme you should take a look at …

How cool – to think that once upon a time someone thought that the people who travel on public transit deserved beauty and art!
