This week’s challenge is one of composition. The picture needs to have two subjects, one in the foreground and one in the background and both need to be essential parts of the picture, each contributing something differently to the photo.
This is where I go every morning while the house is quiet to read … the lamp and the chair are essential.
Other interpretations of the ‘composition’ challenge I think you’ll enjoy:

An absolutely gorgeous photograph! The light, the shading, the texture of wall and chair just drew me in. And it’s a wonderful interpretation of this week’s challenge.

Thank you, Janet! My grandson and I were making coffee in the kitchen. The sun was coming up and when I looked into the family room … there it was. A grab shot, I’m pleased worked out for the theme.

The lamp’s shadow and the chair are just stunning. Made me reflect on the many times we sought refuge in a quiet corner, reading a book and just drifting with the stories we read. And when it’s done, of the peace and renewed mind that we experience. Wonderful post! Thanks.
