I was blown away by the shear size of that one red leaf. It almost looks like I pasted it on … but it was about to fall to the ground! Lucky shot.

Thank you, Christy. It was a very lucky shot. We were hiking a conservation trail and it had dropped when we came back that way 20 minutes later!

I was further north for a couple of days this week. Even with our extended summer drought this year, the reds were a deep crimson.

Fall is my favourite season too, Kristen – crisp air, allergy relief. Next fav is Winter (shockers, eh?), then Summer. Spring is my least favourite … it smells like worms (says the former farm girl)!
