I love the echo of the outdoor chairs, the cozy now inside, until the good weather comes again. Man, does this photo make me want to curl up with a good book and forget the world…

That’s exactly what I did, Christy … forgot about the world and read, read, read.

Looks soooo inviting, Cheryl. Is that a light dusting of snow outside? I hope you’re not getting pounded by the snow that’s hitting parts of the U.S.

No snow, but hail a couple of weeks ago. Just cold and rainy.

What a beautiful chair and view. I can see why you would post this comfy spot. Thank you for sharing 🙂

I need to spend more time decompressing in that chair up north (Ontario, Canada) … no TV, no radio, no telephone.

Yes, I like how the throw has so obviously been used, can still almost imagine its warmth (that’s a heater under the window?). The sitter got up to stretch her legs, brew a pot of something tasty and head outside where I’m guessing there’s a spectacular view. (BTW, what was the book you read in one sitting?)

Yes, Carin, the sitter as in she-who-couldn’t-get-her-butt-outta-the- chair did move to the brew pot occasionally! It was a debut novel (my favourite non-genre) “The Light Between Oceans” by M.L. Stedman. I gobbled it up in 1.5 days. Impressive first book.

So many beautiful places to sit! My first thought was that the sitter got up and began to move to the chairs outside….

Would’ve if I could’ve, Kristen, but the winds out of the N/E were too high and frigid at 4 degrees Celsius. First time I’ve ever seen foam under the dock and the boat was a rockin’ but stayed safely tied up. I turned up the heat, bunched up under the afghan and read, read, read.

This looks like a cozy corner to curl up in with a book on an overcast day. Seeing the shawl thrown aside like that, I suspect someone has just gotten up for a cup of tea … and a photograph. 🙂

That is precisely what I did last weekend. Went up to clean away sawdust and set up the guest house. Was only going to stay Thursday night. David was in Fort Myers, the dog was with me, so we drove into Parry Sound to buy a book. Sat in that chair until Sunday noon while soup simmered in the crock pot. I finished the book in one ‘sit’.
