I had to think about this challenge for a bit. I am thankful for so much in my life, was there any one image that could say it all? And the answer came. Here it is …
For, where would we, and all that we are thankful for, be without the sun.

Cheryl, I considered sunrise as well but the lake in Snowdonia is my favourite photograph so I had to use it. Great colours in your photograph and the addition of the reflection adds that extra something. Oh! Nearly forgot…thank you for the pingback

Cheryl, thank you so much for this beautiful image! I found a rather fierce poem by Mary Oliver, “Sunrise,” at the following link: http://www.panhala.net/archive/sunrise.html

Cheryl, I love this photo. It’s a timeless image and captures for me the ancient Latvian belief that the sun is our place of beginnings and endings. Dace

Oh my, Dace. I didn’t know about this ancient belief … but it is a beautiful belief that appeals to my nature … and love of nature, particularly the sun.
