I like the gradation of blue behind the frost lines. It really makes the beautiful frost lines pop.

It was still dark outside and the light blue top and bottom of the composition are sky and snow; the middle dark blue is the hedgerow that surrounds our back yard

It’s so crisp and clear I expect it to melt before my eyes. Am holding my breath as I look!

The sun did exactly that a very short time after I got the shot, Carin.

This is a gorgeous shot, Cheryl. Nature creating art … but it took the photographer to capture it. Lovely contrast — the white frost against the deep blue. I can almost feel that cold window.

Thanks, Allyson. Admit to many tries wondering if I could actually capture the crystalline quality of the frost … particularly those straight lines.

Wonderful winter shot, Cheryl. The falling snow is the perfect touch too.

Thanks, Mary. I wonder when I’ll outgrow the thrill of that ‘other stuff’?

Thanks Kristen … baffled by the straight lines running through the ‘usual’ frost patterns. Haven’t seen that before.
