Looks like some amazing and delicious is about to be served! Beautiful monotone colors. I noticed how peaceful he looks, just savoring that moment to do what he likes. Something we all can learn from. Life is about choices. A choice to slow down and find time to enjoy it. Beautiful. Wishing you and your family all the joys, love and peace of the holidays.

Thanks, Mr. B. He likes to cook … gets it from his dad … who got it from his mom (me) 🙂

Somehow this is more effective than if we were able to see details of the counter or behind him. Interesting too in black and white. And he’s got such a look of concentration! Love the glass of wine peeking from the bottom corner. I never cook without one myself.

Thanks Allyson. I was experimenting with high key black and white and was happy with the results for exactly the reasons you state.

Love the way the B&W helps bring focus to the bowl (and wine glass in foreground!). It’s all about the food and drink… And sons and grandsons who cook!! Well done, you!

He’s a good cook, as is my son (his dad), who was side-by-side at the counter.
