Lovely raindrops, Cheryl. We never get rain in the summer, so this is a refreshing sight.

Record rainfalls in this part of the world this summer. You never get rain? No thunderstorms either, then I suppose. Wow!

We’re in a semi-arid climate, so rain in the summer is extremely rare. I have to say, I don’t miss thunderstorms at all! We often lost power and that meant no A/C back East. 😦

Such lovely sparkles! You’ve captured light so wonderfully in the raindrops. And that little dot of complementary color in the center of the leaf draws your eye into the image. Great shot!

I love taking photos of flowers, Elizabeth. Someday I should start asking the names of them, eh?

This is beautiful. I’ve just been to your link below and its totally awesome Cheryl. Some I’ve seen before but many are new to me, you are a brilliant photographer! By the way those water moccasins are deadly aren’t they?

Thanks, Gilly. From what I’ve seen of your photographs you should think about JPG Mag too! If you decide to join, please let me know so I can follow you. This link answers your question about water moccasins: http://ufwildlife.ifas.ufl.edu/water_moccasin_watersnake_comparison.shtml

What a beautiful simple shot Cheryl – fresh crisp morning rain nourishing the leaf. You can feel the air.

Ahhh … breathing it in, Allison, that fresh, crisp air. Not complaining, but it is hot, hot, hot here today.

Oh, I think I recognize this. Something Miss Rumphius would love, n’est pas?
Exquisitely caught, this tiny leafy lake district for buglets and fairies…

Ahh, Carin, your mind never disappoints! … and those wee creatures were smart enough to stay out of the rain, unlike a certain bigger folk who tiptoed through the fragrant soggy soil of wonderpal Ruth’s magnificent garden in wellies and slicker, camera in tow. Ten more of a 100+ shots from that day on my photo blog http://jpgmag.com/people/cheandrews/photos
