These are so beautiful, Cheryl! I can’t access the link, but I gather from the comments that these are from a project supporting women survivors. I imagine every step you take in these mocs is a step that sends healing out into the world.

It is a joint project, Janet, supporting families of women and girls murdered and missing in B.C. You identify the emotions connected to these mocs and say it so poetically …

Lovely shot of happy feet. And what a good cause! I look forward to reading more about the project a bit later today.

I had read about the “Walking with our Sisters” project and just had a look again at the link you posted. It is deeply moving: Walking with them through “a gentle rain – one that felt like the tears of our mothers, our sisters, our daughters, our nieces, our granddaughters…” Thank you for this reminder.

Good day to be remembering all those lost through violence, Elizabeth. The commemorative ‘vamps’ will be making a stay here, in Parry Sound, in the new year … so looking forward to that.

I agree — the way you’ve photographed them, we really get the sense of their soft, comfy texture. Cute that you’re wearing them in the shot — relaxing with your feet up. Makes me feel laid-back just looking at this shot.

Are these from the Walking with Sisters auction? I saw you’d bid on a pair. Didn’t want to bid against you… (:
As for what they say… I hope it’s that you’re managing to find at least a bit of peace in all the hammering. The magic of mocs.

Yes, Carin, it is Walking with our Sisters. I bid on several items, and won these. Such a good cause. I see you are a Group Member as well. And they are Magic Mocs … they fit my feet like they were custom made.

Beautiful. They look “special” – one of a kind. I can imagine the soft sound they make when you walk.
