On Wednesdays all over the internet bloggers post a photo with no words to explain it. The idea is the photo says so much it doesn’t need a description. Yesterday, of course, was Christmas Day, a busy but lazy day (if that makes any sense). So … this week, Wednesday is on Thursday!

So lovely, and what a nice thing to have from your mother. Beautiful photo and I agree with Allison that the moving snow effect enhances it as well.

They are lovely, Elizabeth, and such delicate creations. Mom made a set for each of the girls.

Oh how lovely, more snow! (:
A friend made me a few of these years ago. Starched, they were. but have since lost their ‘shape’… do I need to re-starch them or is there another clever way to help keep their form? My crotchet abilities are limited to squares and rectangles; I’m in awe of this kind of thing…

I can’t remember how they are starched, Carin … a sugar concoction I think … does anyone else know? I’m in awe too!

It is turning out to be a wonderful, quiet day, Janet (last of company gone … new batch arriving tomorrow). My wish is that your Holiday Season is everything you hoped it would be.

Oh wow, another one that takes my breath away, Cheryl. Are they heirlooms, or did you cleverly make them (I’m guessing the latter.) The delicate snowflakes on the black background (with the snow falling) make an exquisite little Christmas card.

Thanks, Allison. My mother made those years ago, so, yes, heirloom items! Glad you are getting such a kick out of the WordPress snowy background!

Those look like heirloom “stars”. Or did you make them? They are lovely. And of course doubly lovely seen against a midnight Christmas sky!

They are heirloom stars, Barbara. My mother crocheted those a long, long time ago, Barbara!
