This is nice. Very serene somehow. I like the contrast between the white and gray and the huge clumps of snow. This treatment looks great on that pic.

Thanks for the feedback … test driving a new-to-me free App. Not a lot of creative options, but I like what is there.

Lovely, serene feel to this shot — the layers of branches, the shades of grey, the soft look of the snow.

Thanks Allyson. I wanted something a little different to wordlessly say ‘snow’.

I’m mad for all the shades of blue here. In fact I’m sure there’s at least 50… (book cover??) (;

Sure, Carin. Fifty Shades of Blue (Verticals?) sounds like a tree lovers poetry collection, don’t you think?

What fun to take a bit of technology and turn it into a ‘painting’, Cheryl. Of course the beautiful snow scene is what makes it a piece of art in the first place!

Thanks, Allison … especially free technology! It was fun taking the shot early this morning, skating on the frozen verandah boards in birks (with work socks Carin), puppies in the chase. We are buried in white powder. Beautiful winter scenes in every direction.

Great treatment of snow! And I am vicariously enjoying your winter. All we have so far is rain, lots and lots of rain..

You have my sympathies, Janet … I love snow, which is a good thing considering where I live. Rain? Yuck.

I swore after the last horrid drought that I would not complain about rain ever again, but this winter is getting me dangerously close to reneging on that vow.

Oh, what an interesting shot and interesting effect — luscious, the creamy heaping of snow, the deep blueish shadows, the sense of silence … and art!
