I could dive into those colors and never have to come up for air! You have a totally intriguing and beautiful creation, Cheryl.

Thank you, Janet … I enjoyed the experiment as much as the surprising outcome!

I was trying to find colour names that could begin to describe the jewel-like iridescence of this photo: ultramarine, azure, cerulean, celeste, cyan, sea green, sapphire, turquoise, jade, lapis lazuli, sea green, midnight blue, copper and gold. Beautiful!

Golly my comment seems to have disappeared! So, again, I love this picture — the magic of it, the colours, the mystery.

Oh, and Miles Davis on the turntable. (There is music in this!)

It’s title is “Tunes” Carin … once again you are right on. It looks like it would play music.

Well. This is one beautiful mystery. The colours are gorgeous. And all that glass makes me swoon with giddiness. How you did it… My guess: glass bits, crystals and such, on glass Lazy Susan spinning on glass table. Light coming in from a window facing west. Late(ish) afternoon. On a Sunday. Close??? (:

No spinning, Carin, but a dropper to create the puddle effect. Glass table top, a few drops of food dye, vegetable oil, glass bits and sunlight. My sister and I played with this in her studio that was mostly windows, shooting from under, over and sideways!

It’s like high brow romper room. Can’t quite imagine how you did it, but I love your description!

Thanks, Gilly. Love mystery too. The experiment was all about mystery … no idea what the shots would reveal
