Before heading home again, I wanted a ready reminder of both this wonderful and talented woman as well as her beautiful poetry. I had a tough time choosing amongst her many titles!
The book hasn’t physically made it to the shelf yet. It still sits on the table beside my reading chair so I can easily dip into the treasure between the covers.
FINALLY
we are growing old. These bodies
and the ones that we remember,
a double exposure.
In the mirror we see our aging parents.
Skin softer now, need for comfort
deeper now, finally
in this startle of acceptance
we are learning how to love each other.

Heart To Harp

You can always go to Pat’s site/bookstore if you can’t find any of her books on the shelf at your favourite store, Janet. Pat is a firm believer in self-publishing … so much so that she founded Amherst Writers Association and AWA Press. Maybe we’ll meet face-to-face at one of her future workshops?
