The bridge looks delicately carved out of sapphire! What a lovely moment, as the light “comes on”. And the rosy glow on the water. Beautiful shot.

Thank you, Barabara. ‘Sapphire’ … cool. I boosted the blue slightly. I hadn’t noticed the Ambassador ever being blue before that morning. Maybe it has been, and maybe for a while. The back drop of those mounting storm clouds offset the blue enough to catch my eye.

Oh my, Cheryl, that is probably the nicest picture that’s ever been taken of the Ambassador Bridge. The rolling pastel hues of the sky silhouetting the bridge creates a breathtaking picture.

Thanks, Allison … I hadn’t noticed it ‘blue’ before and wonder if a new coat of paint was part of the Windsor shoreline rejuvenation project.

Powerful sky. All those pastels. Didn’t see until I blew up the pic, but you’ve even caught the lights on the suspension wires on the right. Lovely. Nice angle. Something very peaceful about this, which surprises me.

I did capture the lights at the ‘Canadian’ end of the Ambassador too, Carin, in this panoramic shot, but cropped it pretty much in half because WP made the image too small to see anything clearly.
