It is in southern Georgia, USA, Gilly, but my sister and her husband brought the tradition north to cottage country in Canada this summer.

It does look delicious! I’m trying to figure out, though, what the orange things are. Are they crab legs? That doesn’t seem to make sense to me since you’re inland…

I love the casual feel of this, like I could just reach in and grab a few morsels, find a plate and a seat on the deck and count verticals… all the livelong night. Hard to photograph food and have it look scrumptious. Nice work, ma’am!

Ten of us did precisely that, Carin … except perhaps counting verticals… counting ‘helpings’ for sure. We prepared enough food for a dozen people. No leftovers.
