Beautiful Florida-as-Seen-by-Canadian-in-Winter shot. The colours the snow stand in you’ve achieved and that vibrant red. (You secretly miss the snow… just telling you what Freud would say.) That aside, I’m so enjoying your southern views, all of which remind me of various moods… this one, end of a lazy day… shower and cool glass of something lovely ahead. Nice.

It was end of day on the Fort Myers Beach, Carin, sitting with feet in sand watching the sunset over a galvanized bucket of ice cold Buds at the Beach Pub

I love this Cheryl, especially fun thinking of you in a sunny warm place. The contrast of the red umbrellas and the white stuff – so effective in evoking both the beauty of the scene and nostalgia for the seasons ahead.

Oh this is marvellous! So clever the way the sand has bleached to snowy white with blue shadows, how the exuberant red umbrellas bring an immediate giggle, and the waiting chairs are so perfectly placed in this splendid composition. A triumph Cheryl! But where is the polar bear?

Thank you, Barabara. I was in the ‘mood’ for a silly snowy scene (almost). Lots of the fluffy white stuff coming down on Otter Lake apparently! Celebrating that I’m not up there.
