Wonderful composition, Cheryl. Such a beautiful blue cloud-laced sky, and the buildings too are lovely — softened by the light, the one at left actually glowing. I like the way the CN Tower is just peaking up from behind. Cityscapes really do offer a sort of beauty of their own in their geometry and contrasts, their light and shadows, don’t they?

They certainly do, Allyson. I’m fascinated by geometric shapes … man made or organic!

It’s a great composition and a wonderful sky, its billowy softness made more remarkable by the contrast with the geometry of the buildings. How can you tell that’s a window washer? I don’t know what else it could be but do your screens have better resolution than mine? I can’t really see any detail. A very striking photo though, with or without Mr. Woo.

Thanks, Elizabeth. Enlarged it and them scrolled up and enlarged the rigging at the top of the building. YIKES!

I love how, more than the golden glory of towers, this is essentially a brilliant window washer shot. Would love to know how much they get paid. Curiosity only. I’m not applying.

I love the way you’ve caught this golden glory proving fully there is beauty in the world of sky scrapers and straight lines (nicely contrasted with the round tower). The shadows, the reflected light, the reflections – I love it all Cheryl.

Does anyone else remember the singer who played the ukulele and sang “I’m Mr. Woo the Window Washer Nowowowow!!!”??
Great pic, remarkable “catch” indeed.
