Beautiful Cheryl – my favourite one is of the rigging – so sculptural and linear at the same time. And what a perfect backdrop with that perfect blue sail-worthy sky.

I went down to the harbour to shoot the Fireman’s Tower on the hill on the other side of the Sound. Got so side tracked by the moored STV Pathfinder I forgot my original intent! 🙂

What wonderful summer memories for those lucky kids! I love seeing sailboats on the lake, especially in the evening, as the sun’s setting and the water’s calm. So easy to imagine the tranquility on board.

Yes, especially the Tall Ships. From what I overheard there’s a lot of hard labour involved in sailing one of these, Carin. How thrilling that the Brigantine, STV Pathfinder included Parry Sound harbour on its route.

Thanks, Gilly. They had quite the crew of 12-18 year olds learning to sail this gorgeous ‘tall ship’.

Oh the elegant beauty of those masts and spars and rigging, oh the breath of summer and excitement and the sense that all worries can sail away. Thank you.
