On Wednesdays all over the internet bloggers post a photo with no words to explain it. The idea is the photo says so much it doesn’t need a description.

Wonderful contrasts in b&w. And the sense of motion is amazing. All that and cherry red too? Wow. You ordered one I assume?

Maybe one day I will possess a vintage vehicle … Oh, such a dream! Thanks Carin.

Oh how marvellous, I love these old works of art on the old cars. Your choice of black and white for this is perfect Cheryl, and I know how difficult it is to get a clear shot of hood ornaments.

Me too Allison. This HP was so popular at the show the hood ornament was about the only clear shot I could get.

I thought too at first that it was cutlery, but then realized it was a hood ornament — and one quite cleverly suggestive of movement at that. Love the angle, the sheen — black and white was a perfect choice for this shot, Cheryl.

Thanks, Allyson. It helped me identify the year of the cherry red, convertible HP stealing the show in Fort Myers … 1937, I believe.

Oh how silvery and intriguing. At first glance I thought antique cutlery but on closer and enlarged inspection I am in fact bamboozled. The flat piece might possibly be the back of a mirror, but the other??? Beautiful sheen and textures and lovely black and white…!

It’s a shot of the hood ornament on a 1937 Hewlett Packard I took at an antique auto show in Fort Myers, Barabara.
