Great abstract! I recognized bells, but given this was posted in October AND you had a broken foot, I thought this was a little early for Xmas decor. I would not have imagined anyone making bear bells in such lovely colors.

I’ve never seen them in colours like this either, Janet. I couldn’t resist.

I opened it in large and it is a gorgeous abstract composition, full of texture as well as colour. And I didn’t know about bear bells. I always sing when hiking in the woods but that can be tiresome at times (for me and my hiking companions, possibly even for the bears) so will now look for bells – in vivid colour!

I’ve never seen the bells in such luscious colour before, Elizabeth. Before these lovelies, I used little brass Christmas bells tied to belt loop or through button hole with a bit of ribbon. No one, animal or human, could bear to hear me singing in the bush.

I don’t know what bear bells are but this is a really striking image!

Thanks, Gilly! Bear bells should be worn by anyone walking, hiking or running in the forest. Black bears are shy of humans but can react fiercely if startled. The bells warn them of your approach.

Sheila, The straps have two purposes (1) to silence the bells when not required and (2) to fasten the bell to belt loop when walking.

Cheryl, great to have you back! I love the shot. And like Allison, wonder WHAT WHAT WHAT??? They look very tactile, but I’m confused by the srot of ribbony things trailing off to the side. Looking forward to the reveal. Meanwhile I’ll imagine myself happily dipping my fingers into those luscious colours.

Those luscious colours, Barbara, were THE factor in the buying decision for these particular bear bells over their boring competitors!

A rainbow of ? I don’t know – paint tubes?? In any event it looks like a modern art piece or sculpture. The bright colours combined with the round shapes overlaid by the squares makes for a very interesting composition.

Thanks, Allison, I struggled to find a creative way to display such an practical item. This is a rainbow of bear bells to wear when hiking the bush that surrounds us. First year on this property a mother and cub settled in! They moved on when construction began.
