BIG. It’s larger than life, it’s unexpected, it’s the protagonist in a scene.
Sharing a picture that means BIG to me!
This white pine on the most easterly point of our property is a logging industry survivor from the early 1900’s on Otter Lake Ontario Canada. For reference point (besides how far out into the lake I had to take the boat to get it all in the frame), the two, blue Muskoka armchairs sitting at the base.

Beautiful landscape with the green trees and the calm waters. What got me were the two chairs. Just a perfect place to find joy, peace and yes, a bit of romance. Great post!

You’ve described that space so well, Mr. B. Sometimes construction with all it’s problems and the mud and the workmen and the noise … we only remember to hold hands and be hushed together to appreciate the environment when we go to that point.

How neat. The blue lawn chairs in contrast really set your pic off. Good job..

Without those blue chairs, I don’t think the scale of this giant white pine would be obvious.

We try to visit that point for a half hour or so before heading home from our trips north to the ‘construction zone’.

And you can see it, Janet, from your chair beside mine at the end of the dock OR we could take the path through the bush and sit in the blue chairs!

Cheryl, this is magnificent. I feel like dozing in one of those chairs, lulled by the breeze as it sweeps across the water and up into the pines. Dace
