On Wednesdays all over the internet bloggers post a photo with no words to explain it.
The idea is the photo says so much it doesn’t need a description.

This is one of the best examples ever of a photo that offers a story without words. The ethereal snow queen background, and the warmth and humour of your face in the foreground. And, as someone said above, best selfie ever too!

Thanks, Elizabeth. Don’t mind these new layers of snow mid-April … but only when the sun is shining … like today … ahhhhhhh

Intriguing composition, Cheryl, with just the hint of your face and hood, and the extreme contrast between the dark “selfie” and the winter-washed woodsy background. Since we can’t really tell your expression, it could be cheerful or ominous — open to interpretation! Yes, rather fairy-tale-ish.

I was hoping to show what was happening behind me and how I felt about this April 6 snow storm … we’ve had more snow since … feeling a little different about the weather anomoly now (haha)

This is beautiful, Cheryl. Is it a straight up as-is colour shot? And a selfie? If so, one of the best I’ve ever seen. Great angle, love the cropping. Definitely has a happy-scary vibe that would lend itself nicely to story. Little Red Riding Hood, Otter Lake version. (; (you said there are wolves, right?)

Phonography, Carin. It’s a colour selfie, but the background colour is ‘snow’ a thick wall of it resulting in 6″ of powder. And, yes there have been wolf prints in the snow. So, Chubby Aging Bespeckled Black Riding Hood … story anyone?

I just want to borrow Barbara’s comments! Such a wonderful composition with the hooded you off to the corner softened by the misty, foggy magical world behind you. I believe you are saying, “come on in to my world!”

Something like that … but not today … that’s a spring snowstorm in the background that started this morning. Over half a foot of snow as of 7:00 pm and it’s supposed to continue into tomorrow some time.

This has such a wonderful “fairytale” look about it, beautifully done — and could be a book cover, really. Love, too, the charming hint of a smile on the face of the lovely mysterious girl who, perhaps. has caught a whiff of “chocolate” in the forest air, perhaps on her way to a gingerbread house… I hope I’m wrong, but she should beware!!!
This is really lovely.

I love how your imagination blooms and shiftly opens to full-blown blossom in moments with the tiniest wee bit of imagery, Barabara. Truly amazing.
