Just finished reading, French Exit by Patrick deWitt, and I highly recommend it.
Brilliant. Dark. Comedic. The characters so well written they are crystal clear in your mind and will be much loved long before you finish!
The New Yorker rightfully claims Patrick deWitt to be a stealth absurdist.
