The clarity and the bright colours and composition make this photo so striking. Also there is something very intriguing about those green mesh bags. They have a sort of vegetable quality (lettuce?) that is sharply at odds with the mineral (thinking of twenty questions and animal, vegetable or mineral) aspect of the subject, and that adds to the overall interest.

I’ve never seen these giant mesh bags before, Elizabeth. They were what caught my eye, right after it was drawn to the orange front fender at the top of the heap. I love your comparison, vegetable to mineral!

You were in a car behind this? The orange vehicle looks way too precarious to me!

I was, Gilly. The cars had been flattened and each green bag held the crushed remains of 2 or 3 vehicles. The vehicle bundles were also chained down. I felt safe but was fascinated by that orange car at the top, wrapped up in a green, mega-sized, mesh market bag!

I would imagine it’s a safety feature while they are being transported, Carin. Hopefully those bags are reusable!

I love this for all kinds of reasons Cheryl, not the least of which is our very common theme this week! The defining red edge on the back of the truck at different levels distinguishes this photo beautifully.

Yup … we did it again, Allison. Today’s Ww’s are so similar you’d think we planned it.
