There is something so soothing about a boat’s wake; a sense in a way of “leaving it all behind” — together with an assurance that one can circle back and “do it all again?” Anyway this is so evocative.

Thank you Barabara. It’s been a very wet, bug-filled, season. These runs were rare over June and July. Hope we get another one or two in before we put the boat away.

I never get tired of watching a boat’s wake. There’s something mesmerizing about it. Love the composition here: the angle of the boat and the curves of the wake (so pleasing), giving it motion. And with the addition of the sunset … lovely.

I can just see you sitting back there and taking in that view of the setting sun and pink water as the wake folds in on itself over and over again. And you, with a big grin and maybe expertly balancing a glass of wine saying, “let’s go around just one more time”!

Oh yes … it’s a 6k long arm of the lake … gorgeous both ways, from and toward the sunset. I don’t know why we don’t do it more often. Weather, perhaps this year?
