Escape. Depending on your current mood and head space, or time in your life, this word can evoke different emotions and conjure a variety of images. (Cheri Lucas Rowlands)
This challenge was a little more difficult than usual … where I used to escape to is now a construction site as we build our lake house. Home didn’t cut it either … studio used to be another escape but is closed as part of staging to sell. So, I focused more on Cheri’s notion of ‘head space’ and realized that my escape place for now is here …
I escape into three written pages every morning and that takes about 45 minutes to an hour … alone time with just me. The photo on the cover is one I took from the shore on the lake … synchronicity?

I’ve had trouble coming up with how I’d post for this theme. You just inspired me!

Wonderful … I was stumped since my escape place is under construction and the house so ‘staged’ for the sale it doesn’t feel like ours anymore

I have The Artists Way in my pile of unread books, too. Morning pages — such a healthy practice!

You are so right, Mary Ann … I did this a few years ago and can’t figure out why I ever stopped.

Wow, kudos to you for writing three pages every morning when there’s so much going on in your life right now! When’s the projected move-in date now, Cheryl?

Thanks, Carole … it’s really quite selfish to do the 3 pages every morning … hope it will keep me sane. Move in has been pushed back to end of June but I’m thinking mid-July earliest! 🙂

It’s from “The Artists Way” … I’m taking a course right now by the same name using this book as the compass, Gilly.

I have The Artists Way in my pile of unreads and if it wasn’t for my course my pile might get some attention! Yours sound interesting Cheryl, I hope you find some answers.

Thanks, Amy. I had to think about where I went to escape for a little while … had an Aha when I sat down to do my morning pages today.
