Some of those apps do make an amazing difference by adding something t depth, texture, light… but the composition is yours, Cheryl, and I’m focusing on composition this week, and the rules of it as offered by Steve McCurry: https://elizabethyeoman.wordpress.com/2015/04/11/rules-of-composition-1/ The yellows are all along the grid of thirds (I’m afraid I said too much about that in past posts but still find it interesting) and the rule of patterns being great but interrupted patterns even greater applies here too I think. However, the colour, light and texture here, which I think are partly from the post processing, are very beautiful too. Last, but not least I think there’s quite a lot of artistry in using these apps effectively.

Yes I agree — a perfect image of spring, redolent of the scent of anticipation…! Beautiful.

Crocus … late because Spring was late arriving up here. BUT … this place is ‘loaded’ with trout lilies so grab your camera, Carin!

It really is, Diana … I was afraid I might have missed Spring at home this year. A treat to see this and all the daffs pushing through the dead leaf layer in their special garden.

Thanks, Gilly. The App is very good … I’m just playing around with an otherwise nothing photo and loving the outcome!

You’ve made these lovely little yellow flowers simply glow in this painting/ photograph Cheryl!

I wish it was my painting, Allison. The sun was way to bright for the photo, so I experimented (again) with post-process freeware. The best part using the App is there is absolutely no way to predict the outcome. I love surprises.

A perfect image of spring, Cheryl. I like the lighting, the composition, the pretty yellow and delicacy of the flowers against the rough brown of the bark and earth. One can imagine the flowers and green (just a hint of it here) spreading out joyfully.

Thanks Allyson … post processing, again. I think I am getting hooked on the Windows 8.1 Artistry App.
